THE EVOSEAL ROOFING PROCESS

Your roof is quite possibly the most important part of your property. It doesn’t matter what type of property you own, your roof needs to be safe, reliable and resilient in order to protect your building and the people and items within it at all times from the elements, all year round.

Much like the rest of building technology, roofing materials are constantly undergoing changes and development with the aim of making them as effective as they can be.

If you’re in the market for a new flat roof for your property, you’ll rightly be wondering how you’re going to get the best possible solution for your money. Luckily, Evoseal are on hand to provide you with the most complete roofing materials and service on the market. Here, we’re going to run through how we go about installing a new flat roof.

Inspection of the property & current roof Firstly, we need to survey your current roof to gauge the condition its in, whether it’s might be suffering from any rot and whether we need to take any extra precautions when removing it.

Removing the old roofing material The removal of the old roofing material requires a lot of care and attention, passing down the old boards & existing covering safely to make sure no damage is caused to any other parts of the property, leaving the skeleton of the roof ready for the new surface to be installed. The old roof will be loaded onto a trailer and taken away for professional disposal.

Preparing the roof surface for the new GRP roof Our fitters will then make sure that your flat roof is ready for the new GRP system to be installed by installing a new layer of 18mm OSB3 decking boards, which are mechanically fixed over the existing joist to provide a clean solid base for the fibreglass installation.

Installing the GRP roof

After fitting our super strong, handmade edge trims, we will then laminate the deck with our Superdeck600 surface. Pre-cut strips of chopped strand matting combined with our premium quality Grp roofing resin make up the waterproof surface. Mixed with a catalyst we can finely judge the curing time in varying weather.

Once the roof is successfully and adequately laminated it is allowed sufficient time to fully harden before sanding. We at Evoseal pride ourselves on the quality we fit so any rough edges are erased before the top coat is applied.

Site cleanup

The clean up is as comprehensive as our roofing process! We endeavour to leave your property exactly as it was when we arrived - no mess, no waste, just clean & tidy.

Final inspection

You can never be too careful when it comes to your roof, so we’ll give it a final once-over before we ask you the customer to view it and sign it off. We pride ourselves on all round customer care so we need to know that you are totally satisfied and that we have met your expectations & requirements.
